The peace and tranquility of mountain living can be yours at this unique vacation destination. Located above the meandering North Yuba River in this historic mining town, the resort is situated beneath the towering Buttes of the Sierras.
One or two bedroom units, some with kitchens, are available. Many units have decks overlooking the river. The Old Buckhorn across the street provides barbecue and catered dinners to order on the weekend.
Located on Highway 49, an all-year highway, seasonal fly and bait fishing is at its best here on the North Yuba, where brown and rainbow trout abound. Since all of the Sierra County streams and lakes are heavily stocked, anglers seldom fail to get their limits. Buttes Resort maintains fishing boats for its guests at no additional charge. There are over twenty trout-filled lakes within 10 minutes from Buttes Resort.
